Responsible to lead the occupational Health, safety, Social ( Societal) and environment activities of the North Gialo 6J (NG-6J) Project development, from the Post-FEED up to the Project Closed-out ( including remaining POST-FEED 2 activities, EPC and drilling tendering, EPC and drilling execution up to handover to operations and provisional acceptance of the facilities) as per Project Strategy ( Budget & Schedule), project Execution plan ( PEP), regulatory and contractual requirements ( ESHIA and security requirements) and project governance procedures.
📌 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 📌
❌Lead occupational HSE processes and activities and work integrated with the EPC Contractors and vendors when implementing, documenting and monitoring the HSE Management System processes, methods and activities.
❌Ensure that main relevant Project plans such as the H3SE Program ad the health and Safety Plan are robustly prepared and implemented and with the special focus on “Control of Work” activities such as: Work Permit System, risk management, procedural adherence, training and housekeeping,
❌Be a driver in promoting and implementing safety culture and safety awareness programs within the project teams.
❌Ensure legislative and contractual H3SE compliance in close operation with Contractors; provide self-assessments, verification and audits and follow up on actions registers to robust closure when mitigating gaps.
❌Facilitate for and promote visible and committed leadership with respect to HSE.
❌Implement and measure visible leadership activities
❌Ensure implementation and execution of robust HSE training program with company and contractors’ organization
❌Ensure implementation of risk management processes; risk identification through use of check lists and lesson learned and robust and documented assessments and mitigation
❌Established HSE inspection program and routine and ensure implementation of such program together with Contractors
❌Promote visible leadership; ensure presence, commitment and engagement at construction sites.
❌Promote a working environment where everybody participates and with focus on Diversity, Equity, and inclusion (DEI)
❌Establish and implement of use of HSE lessons learned register jointly with Contractors
❌Establish routines for incidents reporting, investigation and follow-up, including communication of learnings.
❌Establish and provide KPI and provide the Project HSE results in a structured and visual way.
❌Be a “go to person” for HSE issues and promote best practices in a documented a structured way.
❌Supporting the Project H3SE Manager in organization, management and control of H3SE activities and specially in demonstrating a visible, committed and engaged Leadership team.
❌The HSE lead is accountable for the development, implement and monitoring of HSE activities related to the North Gialo 6J Project ( Facilities & Drilling), to achieve the targeted HSE Key Project indicators, the contractual obligations, always in compliance with applicable laws, standards and project guidelines.
❌The HSE Lead is accountable for HSE elements of the Management System of the project and especially for the implementation of site specific HSE activities for a safe and robust execution together with line management.

📌QUALIFICATIONS📌
❌Degree in Engineering
❌Specialization : A professional Engineer (P.E) or Chartered Engineer (C.Eng) License or registration is desirable
❌Certification in NEBOSH, OSHA, & ISO Certification / Participations
❌Years of Experience – Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Oil & Gas
❌FIELD OF EXPERIENCE
🛑 Solid HSE and risks management experience with thorough understanding of HSE management system and risk management processes
🛑 Good knowledge of international HSE legislation, codes of practice, etc.
❌Fluency in English , Arabic will be an advantage
❌Good interpersonal & communication skills ( verbal & written)
❌Ability to work in multi-cultural teams
❌Result-driven, autonomous with analytical approach and an attitude for taking initiatives and arbitrating when needed
❌Ability to identify, report and improve any non-conformities or incidents in an effective manner
❌Good analytical skills and detail oriented
❌Experience and ability to write SOP’s manuals, instruction, audit report etc.
❌Proficient with Microsoft Office ( outlook, Excel, Word, Project and Power point
